Help Aimee Laine get her library!
Thank you, up front, to “I Am A Reader, Not A Writer” for hosting this awesome hop!
I’m supporting myself (Aimee Laine) in my quest to clear out the only room in her/my house that could become a library. Support by ‘taking’ one of her random books from the pile of stuff that needs to go!

You see … ever since having kids, I’ve been acquiring stuff. Not just stuff … but LOADS of stuff … GOBS of … STUFF. That includes my massive, growing library of boooooks. Now, when I say library, it’s not one of those awesome places like this:
or like this
Oh no. I don’t have that … yet. Why not? For one, my books are stacked on the floor, 10-20 piles of them, halfway up the wall and in front of them? Everything else in my house that needs to be sold at a yard sale or on Craigslist or eBay.
Yep, my books are hidden in the confines of a room that is slam packed with JUNK.
And it all needs to go.
But rather than tell you I have a double, Dora the Explorer outdoor seat that no longer folds to give away, or a white rocking horse I haven’t been able to sell, or a desk that is in much need of clearing so it can be used … I’m going to focus on the books that are hidden beneath this Mount Everest of junk.
What’s in there?
Honestly? I haven’t the faintest idea. I know I’ve read 90% of them (some of the old ones were gifts and so I’m not sure I read them). I have thrillers, Nora Roberts and JD Robb, romances, literary fiction, historicals, young adult, middle grades. Deep in the pocket of my house that was once the sitting room … lies a pile of books.
Were they not inanimate objects, they’d all probably be cowering together wondering just what I planned to do with them.
And here’s what I’ll tell you.
I have no idea.
I WANT a bookshelf like this:
It’s my dream to clear out that room, build this into one full wall, keep my sofa (that is covered in stuff) and the desk (that is covered in stuff) and the rug (that is covered in stuff) and have my own little library.
For now … I must pay off debt, medical bills and save up, but some day … SOME day, I’ll have my space. All to myself. Cleaned up. Organized. Without a single book I’d want to give away. (Ha, yeah, right). 🙂
For now, I’m going to offer to share my mess with you. I mean … share my books with you. How? The question is in the Rafflecopter!
